2024 Working with interpreters (CC_WWI)

Description
Working with Interpreters is an in-depth primer for new staff or a refresher for staff who work with interpreters. It gives you a framework to understand the language services you can use to remove a language barrier when clients don’t speak your language. You’ll define the different language services and learn how they can help you. Then, you’ll learn the skills and knowledge you need to book the right interpreter, brief them before a conversation and then carry out an interpreted conversation.

Working with Interpreters takes about 30 minutes

Learning Goals:
After completing the course, you will gain clear knowledge about:
- How interpreters can make your job easier and more satisfying
- How to identify if an interpreter is needed
- How to book and set-up for interpreted conversations
- How to communicate via an interpreter

You can get started immediately and complete the course at your own pace. Your progress is saved at the end of each section.
